Welcome to Lanesend Smallholding A 6 Acre Smallholding in the heart of Worcestershire where we rear rare breed Jacob sheep along with Berkshire pigs. Chickens and Ducks provide free range eggs and we also grow seasonal leaves vegetables and fruit .
Jacob Sheep
The Jacob sheep is ancient breed of horned sheep. It is a dual purpose sheep , providing sweet tasty meat and high quality wool. We keep two horned pedigree Jacobs that we rear for breeding, their wool and meat.
Berkshire Pigs
The Berkshire Pig is a rare breed, originating in the 1790's. They are known to be good natured and like all outdoor reared pigs will root and forage. Currently listed as 'Vulnerable' on the RBST watchlist. We rear our pigs for breeding and meat. Our sows Duchess and Daisy are from Mermaid and Excelsa bloodlines and Winston is a Lassiter boar.
